A wonderrful porteur (sedan chair) with beveled glass, bombe roof, and front opening door for access to the velvet lined interior. The right panel with Cupid whispering into the ear of one of a duo of cavorting cherubs fishing, kiting and catching butterflies; the front panel with a delicate rose medallion handle and Cupid and companion perched on cloud and surrounded by doves. On the left panel two putti recline upon the verdant earth before a standing Cupid who is crowned with a floral wreath, wrapped in a trailing regal cloak, and with finialed staff in hand.
