Michel Henry attended the Ecole National Superieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris, and later studied with Narbonne , Georg, Chapelain-Midy and Legueult. In 1958 he became a member of the Casa de Velázquez in Madrid.. Henry is a member of the Salon d'Automne, as well as a member of its jury, and also exhibits in the Salon de la Societe Nationale des Beaux-Arts, the Salon Comparisons, and the Salon Terres Latines.
Michel-Henry has been decorated with the award "Chevalier de l’Ordre National de la Légion d’Honneur" in 1981, "Chevalier du Mérite Agricole" in 1984, and received the "Médaille de Vermeil" of Paris in 1986, the gold medal of the "Salon des Artistes Français" in 1977 and of the "Société Nationale d’Horticulture" of France in 1981.
