Important Cast Iron Garden Fountain: Please inquire.

Regular price $50,000

An intricately detailed and finely patinated fountain reminiscent of the Wallace fountains designed by Charles-Auguste Lebourg. This magnificent fountain  has  spouts coming from the mascarons’ mouths above their stylized petal form beards. The mascarons' horns serve as the urn handles. Below the urn is a massive basin which is gadrooned with lions' heads and scrolling elements: this basin is drained by spouts in the lions' mouths. Four barefoot and bare torso maidens with urns, perhaps waterbearers, are sheltered behind the falling water. The maidens stand upon a garlanded and be-shelled plinth.

Measuring approximately 86" in height x 45" in diameter at larger basin
